Festival could be betterEDITOR,
I would like to start by saying I was a little disappointed in the Fall Family Festival. I thought, in my opinion, that is was more about soliciting businesses in the community, handing out fliers and getting publicity.
I also think that the Fall Family Festival should be about the kids — maybe sell fall baking goods like caramel apples, pumpkin things, have carving contests, maybe a pumpkin patch and even a scarecrow contest. Something a little more festive — I have plenty of ideas.
Also, the area with the jump houses was great. Having said that — come on, Patterson. Give us a little more. You can do it.
All these downtown events are weak, excluding the Apricot Fiesta. The Fourth of July is also a joke. I am all about supporting my community, but the city needs to help itself, first.
