Fire department looks to recoup inspection costs

The Patterson Fire Department plans to charge for fire inspections for businesses, as new companies continue to move into town and create a bigger impact on city staff.

A lot that was slated to house a community garden on land owned by the Stanislaus County Housing Authority remains vacant because of complications related to disability access laws.
